Suspect in Lawrence shooting transferred from Tennessee – Wichita, Kansas

Lawrence, Kansas (AP) — After being arrested in Tennessee, Lawrence’s deadly shooting suspect was transferred to Kansas.

19-year-old Andrel Darnell Spates Jr. was arrested on October 6 in Three Way, Tennessee, on suspicion of a single murder. He is one of two suspects who died in Wichita’s 21-year-old Christian Willis on September 8.

Lawrence Journal-World reports that Spates was booked in Douglas County Jail on Sunday night and held in a $ 1 million bond.

18-year-old Javier Romero was charged with one murder for Willis’ death.
