Anaheim, California 2021-05-31 22:11:36 –
According to Anaheim police, the suspect was detained after a 70-year-old man died in an indiscriminate attack in the Anaheim neighborhood on Monday.
The victim was attacked near Brookhurst Street and Highway 91 at around 12:20 pm, although the name was not disclosed until the recent parent’s notice. Started searching for assailants in the neighborhood.
“A local inhabitant here was in his front yard and was attacked by a stranger here. The attack seemed random,” said Sgt. Shane Carringer. “While the police officer was receiving the report, I was called about an ongoing assault and shelling here at the intersection of Falmouth and Catalpa.”
The first victim ousted the suspect and called the police. However, the 70-year-old man who was killed in the second attack died in a local hospital, Carringer said.
Police were able to locate a suspected fatal attack and identified him as 30-year-old David Abbott.
According to Anaheim police, Anaheim’s Abbott was recently released for assault in a weapons incident on May 15. He issued a $ 100,000 bond on May 20th.
Detectives are trying to determine if Abbott was also the assailant of Monday’s first neighborhood raid, according to Caringer.
No other details have been announced.
