Law enforcement agencies have begun searching for suspects
Portland, Oregon (KOIN) —Thursday night in Clackamas County, an accident occurred after a suspected thief fled by car and two were sent to a hospital.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, an agent was called to the Loss Center on SE8 2nd Avenue at 8 pm following reports of the theft.
The suspect’s car was found nearby and an agent tried to pull it, but the driver hurried away. Lawmakers said the driver did not stop at SE Bell Avenue and SE Johnson Creek Boulevard and collided with a vehicle at an intersection.
The suspect then ran away on foot, the sheriff’s office said.
Two people were injured in the collision. The driver of the vehicle that collided and the passenger of the suspect’s vehicle. The extent of their injury is unknown.
Clackamas County lawmakers, along with officials from the Milwaukie and Portland police stations, have begun searching for the suspect. He is a white man between the ages of 20 and 25 and is described as a short black-haired man. He may have been injured and dragged.
Anyone who sees him will be asked to call 911.
