Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV)-A man in Nashville was convicted of a federal crime related to his role in the Music City Pawn robbery in June 2018, announced by Mary Jane Stewart, acting U.S. Attorney. did.

Herbert Marsh, 31, was convicted of six crimes: conspiracy, robbery, theft, possession of a stolen gun, a serious offender convicted of possession of a gun, and a witness to tampering. .. The jury acquitted Marsh for swinging his gun during a violent crime.

Two other people charged with robbery, James Houghton, 27, and Hakim Manny, 32, had previously pleaded guilty to the charges. Manny was sentenced to 176 months in prison in January 2019, and Houghton is awaiting a sentence.

James Houghton, 24, Hakim Manny, 29, and Herbert Marsh, 28, allegedly fled Tuesday morning with 14 pistols and more than $ 8,000 in cash.

On June 26, 2018, the trio robbed the Music City Pawn at Norensville Pike, earning 11 guns and nearly $ 8,000 in cash. The trio entered the store wearing masks and gloves, and one was armed with a pistol with an extended magazine and a light attached to the weapon. Two employees were then cabled to the ground, one employee was dragged behind the store and ordered to open the safe. After receiving the firearms and cash, the suspect fled the store in a U-Hall van.

Metropolis later stopped BMW at 24 intersectionsth Avenue North and Rosa Parks Boulevard for traffic violations. Police identified Houghton as the driver and Manny and Marsh as two of the three passengers.

During the investigation, five stolen guns were recovered from the vehicle, four of which were taken out during a robbery at Music City Pawn.

Video surveillance and witness statements were also associated with a trip to the robbery and the recovery of the U Hall van used to escape at Marsh’s sister’s house.

Marsh faces up to 20 years in prison when sentenced later this year.
