El Paso County, Colorado — On the evening of October 22, 2021, 911 calls were made to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office several times for multiple bullets fired at Empress Circle.

Law enforcement officers from several units responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived, the suspect’s car was gone. However, they found a large number of shell casings, as well as home VCRs that recorded part of the incident.

A few hours later, the agent says he tracked the vehicle in security / widefield and found it stolen. The vehicle ran away and the agent did not chase it.

After a while, the vehicle was discovered again. This time it was B Street. The agent used their car to block the suspect’s car. The driver’s car collided with the marked police car while the assistant driver was inside.

This lieutenant was not injured.

Four people jumped out of the suspect’s car and ran away. Some lawmakers were able to chase those people and catch them all.

One suspect violently resisted his agent’s efforts to arrest him, spitting and head-butting. Fortunately, neither the suspect nor the agent was injured. One was an adult man and the other three were boys. The pistol was also recovered.

This is an ongoing multi-institutional investigation. Therefore, information about the arrest, a description of the suspect’s vehicle, and other specific cases that may be related are not disclosed at this time.
