Swansea — According to a statement, police are looking for a man who stole a diamond necklace from a jewelry store on Saturday afternoon.

According to a statement, Swansea police received a report of theft of a high-value diamond necklace from Hannoush Jewelers on Saturday at 2:25 pm on the 1056 GAR Highway.

Police say the man entered the store, asked to see a diamond necklace, and ran away from the store with it.

According to the statement, police believe the suspect entered a waiting dark-colored two-door sports coupe with very dark-colored windows. According to police, the car had an out-of-state license plate with an unknown registration.

Police described the suspect as a man in his thirties, 5 feet 6 to 6 feet tall, with a slender figure and tattoos on his arms. According to the statement, he wore a black Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt and black trousers at the time of the theft.

The case is being investigated by detectives Jonathan Boyd and Eric Tibaud.
