One of the best American swimmers in history, Ryan Lochte has put six of his twelve Olympic medals on a charity auction.
The auction benefits Jorgenation, a non-profit charity that raises funds to send end-stage or severely ill children to selected destinations on a once-in-a-lifetime all-inclusive “dream trip.” ..
Lochte told NBC Sports The medal is “collecting dust”.

Lochte has three different auctions.
2004: 1 silver medal
2008: 2 bronze medals
2012: 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal
The highest bid for the 2012 medal on Monday was up to $ 23,582, while the 2008 medal was auctioned for $ 14,150 and the 2004 medal for $ 12,626.
