Horley County, South Carolina (WBTW) — Weekend duty free in South Carolina means you have a complete list of items you can buy without paying the state’s 6% sales tax.
The list includes the usual back-to-school items such as pens and pencils, computers, and clothes. But it also includes wedding dresses and other items.

Imagineer’s Donald Seyfried said, “This is one of the biggest weekends for Imagination.
Seyfried says the store doubles down on the weekend with buy-one-get-one sales, making Tax Holiday the second best weekend after the Halloween rush in late October.
“It’s the best deal you’re going to get,” said Seyfried.
It may seem strange that the kigurumi is tax-free, but the cases are cut and dried at Imaginations.
“You can wear this to school,” said Seyfried. “The costumes and everything are closely related to school, theater, and so on.”
Whether it’s a wedding dress or a new costume, shoppers welcome the savings.
“It’s great,” one shopper told News13. “This is another perk.”
Two Oaks Bridal Boutique is normally closed on Sundays, but will be open for reservations this weekend. Imaginations will be open during normal business hours.
The sales tax holiday ends at 11:59:59 on Sunday night.
