Tampa, Florida 2021-06-11 18:01:01 –
Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and Nassau County Executive Laura Curran today announced a friendly bet on the results of the NHL Eastern Conference Final Series between New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Lightning is set to play against the islanders at home in the Amalie Arena at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 13th for Game 1 of the Semifinals.
If Lightning wins, County Administration Karan will send Mayor Caster some of Long Island’s famous pizzas and bagels. If the islanders win, Mayor Caster will send a box of locally made beer and cigars from Tampa to the Karan County Administration.
“The Karan County Government welcomes you and all the islanders’ fans to come to the beautiful city of Tampa in the bay … rather Champa Bay,” said Mayor Caster. Sir Stanley grew up very comfortably here-he has a nice tan, world-class cigars, great local food, craft beer, and last year’s Helva Championship Boat Parade. I’m not going to give up the title right away. “
“The islanders are coming to the cup. Everyone knows that Long Island has the best pizzas and bagels, and the finest craft beer, but we’re confident that our packaging will stay on the island. “Nassau County executive Laura Curran said.
By the end of the series, Mayor Caster and Kalan County Administration agreed that Tampa Bay and Long Island would strengthen the bond between the two regions.
