Tampa, Florida 2021-04-30 14:44:26 –

The City of Tampa, in collaboration with Tampa General Hospital and Lifelink, Florida, encourages residents to register as donors of organs, eyes and tissues during the National Donation Life Month, which takes place each April. As part of this partnership, the city’s public facilities, parks and bridges glow blue and green on April 30 to raise awareness of donation registration and honor those who saved their lives through donation gifts.

Floridians can participate in state organ and tissue donor registration when they obtain / renew their driver’s license or ID at www.DonateLifeFlorida.org or at their local driver’s license office. More than 107,000 people in the United States are waiting for the gift of life by donating organs. Over 5,000 of them are Florida friends and neighbors.

Organizations across Florida and the United States are encouraged to participate in spreading this life-saving message.

See below for how to register as an organ donor. www.DonateLifeFlorida.org
