A tanker carrying dangerous goods collided with a Louisiana trooper vehicle and ignited on Interstate 12 near Satsuma on Friday morning, according to Louisiana police and media reports.

At least three people were injured, including a Louisiana soldier, according to WBRZ news partners.

In Walker, both east facing lanes are closed. According to police, traffic is diverted to US Highway 190 on La Highway 447.

Authorities described the contents of the 18-wheeled vehicle as dangerous goods, but did not say what it was. Authorities said there was no need to evacuate to the WBRZ.
