Tapestry Inc, the parent company of Kate Spade, coach,and Stuart WeitzmanReleased its latest Annual Corporate Responsibility Report on Friday, focusing on social and environmental progress in fiscal year 2020.
The eighth corporate liability report issued by the tapestry and the first report, including recommendations by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Sustainable Accounting Standards Board (SASB), are fair, comprehensive. Tapestry said it has begun to map its supply chain in terms of environmental goals and has begun to work towards achieving 95% traceability and raw material mapping. It also achieved a waste conversion rate of 87% at corporate and distribution center locations and increased the amount of leather from the leather work group’s tanning factories, which received a silver or gold rating, to 67%.
Similarly, with regard to people, we have launched the Inclusion Council with the aim of increasing the participation of people with diverse perspectives from different levels in business decision making, with 92% of store managers, 97% of leadership, and 96% of US corporate employees.
In addition, it was recognized on the Forbes 2020 “Best Companies to Work For” list for the third consecutive year, and scored 100 points on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index for the sixth consecutive year.
