Glendale, Arizona — Two teens were arrested in connection with a bullet fired by a Glendale police officer on Monday night.
Officials say it happened shortly before midnight on Monday when officers were called into the neighborhood near 59th Street and Bethany Home Road about a possible robbery at home. Three people were arrested in connection with the robbery on Monday night.
While investigating the robbery, seven police officers in the area were fired with four ammunition and heard a “groan” nearby. Police believed they were shot, but said vehicles and people were not beaten.
Glendale police announced arrests at the ages of 13 and 14 on Thursday in connection with the shooting. They say they admitted that the older boy took a pistol from his mother’s dresser, went out and photographed a young boy shooting at a nearby police officer.

The 13-year-old kid reportedly fired one shot, after which the 14-year-old kid took a gun and shot down a few more rounds. The boy was admitted to the police during a cross-examination that he wanted to kill a police officer.
Both teens face several felony charges, including attempted murder, exacerbation of assault, and illegal release of firearms.
