MT. Juliet, Tennessee (WTVF) — 17-year-old Jason Allerano stood next to a trailer working to replace a flat tire when hitting a vehicle. Now the family is praying for a miracle.
“I don’t know. It doesn’t seem to be real. I think he’s still okay,” said Jason’s brother Brandon Allerano.
Brandon is still trying to handle what happened on Sunday. His brother Jason is fighting for his life.
The family was driving back from Nashville to Mount Juliet when Allerano received a call that would change his life forever.
“When I was returning the car to the car, my mother called me and said my brother was unconscious,” he said.
According to Allerano, Jazon and his father were standing on the shoulders of the interstate highway next to the trailer when the car hit the trailer. He threw Jazon into the air and injured his father.
Allerano wants to keep the hope that his brother will pass through. “He loved playing soccer, he didn’t care about anything, he didn’t compete.”
Jason will graduate from Mt. Juliet High School next year.
Allerano says he doesn’t want him to overcome such suffering if his brother can’t play his favorite sport, walk through the graduation stage, and become himself again.
“My brother wouldn’t want this. He wouldn’t want to be in a machine-bound wheelchair. The tube was running down his throat.”
But the community and his family are praying for a miracle.
“Everyone is helping either prayer or donate dollars. Man, it sums up,” said Allerano.
Family set up online Fundraising To help with the cost. Meanwhile, Allerano says he wants to prevent this from happening to other families.
