Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) — Tennessee’s annual Free Fishing Day takes place on Saturday, June 12.

Each year, Tennessee’s Wildlife Resources Agency offers days for anyone to fish without a paid license in the state’s public waters, agency-owned and operated lakes, and state park facilities.

According to the release of TWRA, children under the age of 15 will be able to fish without a license from Free Fishing Day to the following Friday.

TWRA stocks thousands of pounds of fish each year for various events. Some privately owned toll lakes and ponds will continue to incur charges during this special day and week. Anglers should consult their operators if they have any questions about the facility.

See the TWRA website for more information. www.tnwildlife.org..
