Nashville, Tennessee (AP) — Tennessee Parliamentarians are ready to re-election the Secretary of State and Treasurer on Wednesday and vote to elect a new auditor.
The vote will take place the day after the majority of the House and Senate Republicans have nominated Jason Manpower as Comptroller, and Secretary of State Tre Hargett and Treasury Secretary David Lillard have nominated to maintain that position.
Mumpower is the top deputy of the current retired Comptroller Justin Wilson. Mumpower is a former Republican Congressman in northeastern Tennessee.
Parliamentarians first elected Wilson, Harget, and Lillard as state-wide offices in 2009.
The Secretary of State is elected for a four-year term, and the Audit Auditor and Treasurer serve a two-year term.
