A federal jury found on Monday that he had exposed a former black worker to a racially hostile working environment and did not take reasonable steps to prevent him from being harassed.
The jury inflicted more than $ 130 million in damages to Owendias, who worked as an elevator operator at the Fremont plant in Tesla, California in 2015 and 2016.
Tesla’s lawyer refused to comment on the verdict.
