A lot of people are excited about the 2021 parade, so I can’t wait for FYI. The camel is back and the Bigelf himself is a special guest who raises the rear almost almost every year before 2020.

2021 will bring a few changes. Applications for parade entry can be received at the Chamber of Commerce on Stateline Avenue. Logan Electric Broad Street or online mainstreettexarkana.org.. Applications to participate in the parade must be submitted at the Logan Electric Store at 208 E. Broadstreet in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The theme for 2021 is “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. All entries should be lit. For safety reasons, you cannot throw candies from the parade entry. Santa’s suits and life-sized depictions of Santa are not allowed … (he is the last guest of the parade)!

I had the opportunity to talk with Ina about the parade and the growth of the downtown area …
