The healthcare system we recognize today is a true leader in facilitating organizational responses that change the lives of healthcare professionals. ”
People study Examining the experience of doctors and other health care workers who worked in the medical system during the COVID-19 pandemic, 38% self-reported that they were experiencing anxiety and depression, and 43% were overloaded with work. Suffering from, 49% were burned out.
Candidates for the Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition Program were evaluated according to a documented effort to reduce work-related burnout through system-level drivers. The scoring criteria were based on proven competence in commitment, assessment, leadership, operational efficiency, teamwork, and support.

The CHRISTUS Trisician Group, now known as the CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic throughout the CHRISTUS Health System, has joined the list of other prestigious national health systems as a recipient of the 2021 Joy of Medicine Health System Recognition Program.
Launched in 2019, the Joyin Medicine Health System Recognition Program is a component of AMA. Practice change Efforts, an ambitious initiative to advance evidence-based solutions that bridge the knowledge gap of doctors’ knowledge of effective solutions to burnout.
