(WJW) — Chipotle fans will soon have to pay more to get their favorite burritos, the fast-food chain announced on Tuesday.
Following last month’s announcement of salary increases, the company has advertised an average hourly wage of $ 15 for employees by the end of June, and the company is currently planning to raise menu prices entirely from 3.5% to 4%.
Chipotle has restaurants in Shreveport, Bossier City, Texas, and Texarkana.
CEO Brian R. Nikko At the Baird Global Consumer, Technology and Services Conference, he said:
Restaurants across the country are having a hard time finding workers as the pandemic health measures have been lifted. And Chipotle isn’t the only company to sell higher wages to seduce workers.
The company also said it plans to hire 20,000 new employees.
