Homeless camps are a big issue in the big cities of Texas, but not so much for Texarkana. In a nutshell, HB1925 says you can’t camp in public views or other areas. Cody says TTPD isn’t looking for a camp that is open to the public, but needs to respond to public complaints. The first breach can result in a fine of as much as $ 500, but subsequent instances can result in imprisonment.

Therefore, if a complaint is made at the campsite, police must respond within the Texarkana, Texas area. Hopefully, as long as they don’t have a warrant or violate other laws, camping people will be able to warn and move on.
