At its regular board meeting on Tuesday, May 11, the Pleasant Grove ISD Board approved the appointment of Carla Dupree as Deputy Director of the School. Dupree has participated in the Pleasant Grove ISD with 21 years of management experience and has recently been the principal of Texas High School for the past three years.
“I’m excited about Mrs. Dupley joining the Pleasant Grove Independent School District as Deputy Director,” said Chadpiltor. “Mrs. Dupley brings an extraordinary level of quality to our school district, and her influence on ensuring a high level of learning for all students spreads throughout our school district and makes students’ lives positive. Dupley brings 26 years of educational status. Her career began in 1995 as an English and speech teacher at Queen City High School in Queen City ISD. From 2007 to 2014, Dupley was the principal of Queen City Elementary School, and from 2014 to 2017, Dupley was the principal of Queen City High School. Dupley moved to ISD, Texas in June 2017 to serve as Vice-Principal of Curriculum and Teaching, and in July 2018 Dupley became Principal of Texas High School. Dupree is a Board of Directors of the Texas Secondary School Principals Association (TASSP), a Region 8 TASSP Coordinator, and was elected to the 2020 TASSP Region 8 Principal of the Year.
Dupley holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Voice Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University. Dupree is a Master of Education and Principal Certification from Texas A & M University Commerce. Dupley and her husband Scott have a son, Davis, who holds a BSN from Texas A & M University at Texarkana.
