Texarkana, Arkansas (KTAL / KMSS) – A Texarkana man has been accused of igniting a historic home in Texarkana, Arkansas.

A fire at a house on Pecan Street was reported around 10 am on Sunday. Investigators say witnesses reported seeing 27-year-old Cameron Coolridge move in and out of the house.

“Police officers actually picked up a man a few blocks away and they talked to him and started asking about the fire. What he did about igniting a house he smelled as the smoke policeman said. At that point they were arrested, “said Fire Marshal Jim Wall.

Coolidge is being held at Miller County Detention Center.
