Texarkana, Texas (KTAL / KSHV) – Texarkana volunteers spent the morning on Thanksgiving Day at the Randy Sams Outreach Shelter to serve local residents and others.
Thanks to donations from the community, the shelter provided warm Thanksgiving meals to more than 200 people.

Some people appeared in the shelter to feed those in need.
“It’s nice to be able to smile on many faces, because it’s an honor to have someone here to look at their eyes, feel their hearts, and help them take care of them. “Because we are there,” said volunteer Rev. Anthony L. Wear.
At the evacuation center, along with hot meals, we handed out essentials such as winter clothes and toiletry products.
