Fort Worth, Texas (KTAL / KMSS) – A military trainer crashed near Lake Worth on Sunday morning, seriously injuring two pilots and damaging the neighborhood.
In a statement released around 2:30 pm on Sunday, the Fort Worth Fire Department landed a fighter on a 4000-block residential area on the Tejas Trail in the Lake Worth district, just north of Fort Worth, around 11:00 am on Sunday. I said I did.
According to the statement, two pilots were expelled from the plane, one seriously injured and taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, and the other by ambulance to Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.
Three homes were damaged in the crash, and three residents of the home were treated for minor injuries and released. According to the statement, several fires broke out and were controlled, but 44 homes in the area went out of power.
Public security officials from multiple agencies are on-site with military personnel to investigate the crash and provide security.
The statement confirmed that two off-duty Fort Worth firefighters witnessed the crash and were the first to respond immediately and assist the injured pilot.
