The incident occurred at Timewise Shell after 9:30 pm 400 blocks south of highway 146.. At that time, police officers responded to the call for puncture wounds and noticed that the female employee was unresponsive and not breathing.

The employee was later identified as Patterson by an investigator. Texas City police said the EMS had arrived at the scene and confirmed that the victim had died.

Investigators said the suspect had taken off by car and headed north on highway 146.

A Texas City police dispatch later said he had received a call shortly after 10 pm from a man who said a friend identified as Miller had stabbed his wife.

Police responded to Miller’s residence at 900 blocks on Lane Road and arrested him without incident.

A longtime neighbor said he knew Miller and saw the police.

“My wife woke me up and said there was a police car with lights in front of my house,” said neighbor Jerry Cooper. “I wondered what was going on, and I thought Brian really needed to work on something this time around.”

Gas station employees didn’t say much except that Patterson hadn’t worked there for a long time, which was very sad.

Miller is being held in a Texas City prison, waiting to be transferred to a Galveston County prison. His deposit is set at $ 250,000.
