Great Bend, Kansas — A 55-year-old Texas woman was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for her role in the death of a Kansas couple who was a seller at a county trade fair.

Kimberly Stacy Younger of Aranzas Pass, Texas, was convicted of murder and other charges on Monday. She was one of four carnival workers convicted of killing Wichita’s 78-year-old Alfred Carpenter and his 79-year-old wife Pauline in July 2018. They were killed after working at the Burton County Fair in Kansas.

Their bodies were later found in northwestern Arkansas.

Investigators said one of the suspects ordered their death as part of their admission to the non-existent “Carnival Mafia.”
