Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) — Continues to thank Nicole for her service to News13 and Eastern Carolina.
Some of the people who appreciate her are almost everyone who has passed through our newsroom in the last 31 years.
“She was happy to be able to talk to someone who experienced the same situation and get advice, whether it’s a personal or work issue,” said WBTW from 2004 to 2014. Anchor and reporter Patricia Barkett said.
“Nicky, you were the first person to say’hey’in the newsroom,” said Taylor Hernandez. “You are infected and can’t wait to see what you will do in the future and keep up with you.”
“When I brought my resume tape in late 2005 or early 2006, Kimberly Gil and I were in the editorial office and I heard a neighbor voicing a health count report.” Said KXAN researcher Jody Barr. “You went in and introduced yourself and then went to talk to the news director on my behalf!”
Hannah Rucker, KVUE’s anchor and reporter in Austin, Texas, said: “There was a group of young children out there and you told them to brush their teeth and take care of themselves, and for me it’s all about working in this industry. It’s people. Being caring and being there for the community. I am very grateful to be able to spend time with you. “
