Portland, Oregon (KOIN) — On days when most people are feasting, a group of Portlandians get together to help reduce Thanksgiving calories early and fight food insecurity in fitness. rice field.

“This is the perfect time for people to get out there and make healthy moves before the holiday season,” Plevin said. “It’s really important to get people together, go outdoors and work in a healthy and fun way.”

Previn said funding to help local families in need has become more important than ever.

“We are really excited to be here to raise money for families in need,” Previn said. “We know that one in nine Oregon people is facing food insecurity, so what we can do to help put food on the table for those who need it. Is a big win for everyone. ”

Fulcrum Fitness offers indoor, outdoor and home training. In addition to outdoor and remote exercise options, the company offers in-studio training from two Portland-based locations.
