The Art of Perseverance: Wes Holloway – Fresno, California

Fresno, California 2021-06-21 07:38:32 –

Houston, Texas-Wes Hollowway has always liked drawing and scribbling, but never expected to be a professional artist.

That changed when he suffered a spinal cord injury in his first year at the University of Texas at Austin.

Hollowway was trapped in a wheelchair, but he decided to live his life to the fullest.

One way he did that was to follow his true passion, art.

It took him a while to find the best way to use a paintbrush and pencil, but the effort was worth it.

Hollowway art, including paintings, drawings and collages, explores the human body, stereotypes, masculinity and more.

In this episode of Genius Stroke, Hollowway turns into his craft by showing the process behind his art, how his sexuality and obstacles affect his work, and exhibiting his work in Smithsonian. I will explain how to give a completely new perspective.
