The first coronavirus vaccination may take place on December 12, said the head of the Federal Vaccine Development Program.

Vaccine expert Dr. Monsef Slawi will speak at the White House’s Rose Garden on November 13th.

Washington — The head of the US effort to produce a coronavirus vaccine said the first vaccination could take place on December 12.

The Food and Drug Administration Advisory Board will meet on December 10 to discuss a request for an emergency license for the COVID-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer.

Recently, a large ongoing study has announced that the vaccine is 95% effective in preventing mild to severe COVID-19 disease.

Dr. Monsef Slawi, head of the Coronavirus Vaccine Program “Operation Warp Speed,” said he plans to ship the vaccine to the state within the expected 24 hours of FDA approval.

Slawi told CNN that vaccination is expected to begin on December 12, the second day after approval.
