San Antonio, Texas — Comfort food comes in a variety of shapes and sizes.
And for Latin families, nothing is as nostalgic or satisfying as Concha.
It is a delicious sweet bread that is often served for breakfast.
After studying every corner, artist Eva Marengo Sanchez painted a concha for a new exhibition at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio.
“I think food is very close to our identity. I feel very happy when I’m eating physically and just as my brain is just happy.”
The museum curator says the exhibit shows the talent of Hispanic artists through something that we all can relate to: food.
The exhibits will be on display until January 23, 2022.
