The attendance for the first year of the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum was not as high as the museum leaders expected.

The museum was expected to see 300,000 visitors for the first year, but instead, about 110,000 visitors stopped by.

Museum staff worked to attract as many people as possible through events and programs during the 2020 game.

We didn’t meet our attendance goals this year, but the feedback we received from our visitors was positive.

“They not only get a world-class museum, but also have a world-class experience with members of the guest experience team to show more than what’s on the wall, what they’re reading, what they’re seeing. They really jump into history and are quite inspirational, “said Tommy Sierd, Director of Marketing and Communications at the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum.

Participants in 2022 are expected to grow with the February Beijing Convention and expectations for tourists to visit the area.
