OROVILLE (CBS13) —A third person was arrested in connection with the robbery of an elderly woman who won a big win at Oroville Casino.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office initially arrested a mother and son (49-year-old Regina Brito and 30-year-old Daniel Braziel) for robbery in early October. Both have been put in jail and faced charges of robbery and elder abuse.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victims earned more than $ 4,500 at the Gold Country Casino but never had the opportunity to celebrate. She is said to have been pushed to the ground and robbed by Braziel. Braziel received the money and took off in a runaway car driven by his mother, Brito.
On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office announced that 32-year-old Yuba City resident Jeremy Bowman was also arrested.
Detectives allege that Bowman conspired with Braziel to charge an elderly woman’s credit card for about $ 1,000.
An investigation warrant was issued at Bowman’s Yuba City home on Tuesday, and he was arrested on suspicion of stealing personal information and possessing stolen property.
Other items such as heroin, stolen goods, and ammunition were also found during the search for Bowman’s house, the agent says.
