Three men arrested after dozens of catalytic converters were stolen in the Morgantown area

All three are in North Central Regional Prison, West Virginia


The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia said three men had been arrested for theft of more than 30 catalytic converters and invasion of more than six storage unit facilities. Last week, several search warrants were issued and items related to the theft were recovered. The Sheriff’s Office said Robert D. Moon II, 24, Jeremy Angle, 24, Brian Mail Jr., 24. All three were detained in the North Central Regional Prison in West Virginia on Wednesday morning. The sheriff’s office said more arrests were expected.

The Morgantown-based sheriff’s office said it had been investigating the case since January 1.

Last week, several search warrants were issued and items related to the theft were recovered.

The sheriff’s office said Robert D. Moon II, 24, Jeremy Angle, 24, and Brian Mail, Jr., 24, were arrested in connection with the incident.

All three were held Wednesday morning at the North Central Regional Prison in West Virginia.

The sheriff’s office said more arrests were expected.
