Denver (AP) — 3 men arrested More than 12 weapons and hundreds of ammunition have been charged with federal firearms crimes at the Denver Hotel near the Major League Baseball All-Star game venue, according to the US Federal Attorney’s Office.

The number of weapons found near the event on May 9 and a request by one of the men in a room with a balcony raised concerns among police about the possibility of a mass shooting, but the FBI soon He said there was no reason to believe the arrest was related to terrorism or that there was a threat to the game.

Federal prosecutors have repeatedly announced that Richard Pratt, Ricardo Rodriguez, and Gabriel Rodriguez have each been charged with felony in possession of a gun. According to court documents, each has multiple felony sentences.

Gabriel Rodriguez has also been charged with possession with the intention of distributing methamphetamine.

All three appeared in federal court in Denver on Friday, where assistant federal prosecutor Rajiv Mohan demanded that they be detained while the proceedings against them were in progress. The hearing was scheduled for next week and it was decided whether it would continue.

Each lawyer refused to comment on the allegations after the hearing.

According to the arrest affidavit, Pratt and Ricardo Rodríguez told investigators that they were at the hotel to buy and sell guns, but Pratt also talked about Ricardo Rodríguez killing people and “defeating” them. He said he was, but Ricardo Rodríguez accused him of pulling a gun. According to the document, Gabriel Rodriguez told authorities that Pratt had asked him to come there to sell methamphetamine.

Gabriel and Ricardo Rodríguez told Denver media earlier this week that they were not planning violence against people gathered for the game or other related events.

“I was there and trying to sell the dope. The next thing I know is the SWAT team and all of me,” Gabriel Rodriguez told KCNC-TV in an interview.

According to the affidavit, the woman arrested at the hotel, where Pratt said she was his girlfriend, was not charged in federal court.
