Nashville, Tennessee (WTVF) —Three people on Saturday night after a 28-year-old Murfreesboro man stole a car key on the downtown side of the Saygenthaler Pedestrian Bridge using a stolen pistol. A teen was arrested.

According to Metro police, Yusuf Othman (16 years old), Joseph Shearer (17 years old), and Butoi Deus (15 years old), who identified the victim as a gunner when he appeared after his arrest, were all charged with robbery. Police received a call from the victim at 11:06 pm and said a robber with a gun placed it in his abdomen, passed through his belongings, and finally took his car key. He said the teens fled across the pedestrian bridge to Nissan Stadium.

Ottoman and Deus were detained on Shelby Avenue. Ottoman dropped his gun during his arrest. Shearer was found hiding behind a semi-trailer on Clutcher Street.

Victims reported that the robbers used key fobs to unlock the car from a distance and convinced them that they were trying to find the car to pass through or steal.
