Rancho Palos Verdes, California-Tiger Woods was seriously injured on Tuesday when his SUV fell and lay down in the suburbs of Los Angeles, officials said. A golf superstar had to pull it out of the windshield, and his agent said he had leg surgery.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, when the SUV crashed shortly before 7:15 am, Woods was alone and no other car was involved. A county fire department spokesman, Christopher Thomas, said he was wary of firefighters breaking open the windshield and kicking him out. Click here for the latest information on Woods status..
