Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — Online dating has turned into horror for men in Oklahoma City. Three were put in jail after a man was struck by a gun and a knife for hours in an overnight robbery.

“This started with men meeting women on dating apps,” says MSgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police.

On Saturday night, the victim told police that he met the girl on the dating app Tinder two days before he met the girl at a house party.

“He agreed to meet her in the house where the party was taking place, he actually picked up a lot of alcohol and brought it to the party,” Knight said.

According to police, the victim and the suspect had been enjoying a party at home for a while around 2 am, and the victim began asking if he would repay the alcohol he brought in. At that time, his date and her sister pushed the victims against the wall, police said.

“He was struck by a gun, struck by a knife, and people told him he was going to take everything he had, all his money,” Knight said.

The woman then destroyed the victim’s phone. Police said the victim was struck by a sword-off shotgun for five hours. He was forced to drive at Knife Point by two more people.

“Then I drove to different parts of the city to use ATMs or go to stores and actually buy some of these suspects’ clothes,” Knight said.

The robber eventually brought the victims home, but when he told the police they threatened to hurt his family as well.

The victim immediately called the police on Sunday. No one was seriously injured.

All three involved were arrested and put in jail in the face of felony kidnapping and robbery.
