Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) — The Tucson Medical Center began construction on a new surgical center on Tuesday.
The 17,000-square-foot center is located on the Lincoln campus on the southeastern side of Tucson.
It has room for future growth and provides additional medical and surgical services in the area — providing convenient options for the procedure.
TMC CEO Judy Rich “It’s a very efficient way to have surgery as an outpatient. Because it’s small, I parked in the parking lot here, entered, had surgery, and recovered quickly. You can go home. This is exactly the method of surgery. It’s happening now. “
The new center will include pediatric and adult surgery.
Last year, TMC also announced a new 60-bed hospital for the site, which is scheduled to open in 2023.
