Boston, Massachusetts 2022-08-05 07:34:53 –
After a year and a half of careful consideration, deliberation and discussion, and another year and a half of logistics and paperwork, I sold my family’s funeral home (O’Brien Funeral Home) To John Lean of Brighton. John owns and operates the family funeral home in Brighton. He worked for Jack when he was here and for me in South Boston for over 20 years.
This was not an easy decision. Leaving O’Brien Funeral Home full-time was the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make, both personally and professionally. However, I continue to struggle with ongoing problems with my vision and overall health. My kids need me to be more available. So it became clear that that’s what I had to do. My father was the real son of South Boston. We have always been proud to work and live in this unique community. When I was a kid, I proudly represented South Boston on the ice. It is a great pleasure to be able to support youth sports as a business owner.
It has been an honor to serve so many of you over the years. I am most proud of my family and how I have served South his Boston family for the past 112 years. We are forever grateful to our South Boston family for trusting us to get through the most difficult times of our lives. For these reasons, I thank each and every one of you.
John Lean and I planned to make a more formal announcement after we had the opportunity to speak with everyone who participated in the Pre-Arrangement Trust Fund. I promise that I will receive it from John. It will continue to be the same funeral home, the same community and the same level of service that you have grown accustomed to. Since 2017, I’ve been battling eye problems requiring medical attention, but haven’t made much progress. Therefore, when you lost a loved one, I felt that I could no longer provide the excellent service and attention to detail that is characteristic of this profession and that O’Brien Funeral Home is known for. John Lean is a friend and has worked for my family for many years. John is deeply rooted in his own community. He and his wife are raising his four sons who may one day go into business. His cousins and uncles already work for me. We guarantee that John and his family will be familiar faces to all of you.
it was very important to me 146 Dorchester Street We are a family run funeral home. As I take this step, I will continue to be part of the funeral home operations – not a full-time entitlement. I don’t use social media, but I know there have been some posts and comments about recent sales. Nice photo of his father and lots of comments about the good work he has done for our community Jack O’Brien will never show up again but John Lean has my full confidence I have. I hope you will show him the same respect and support that you have always shown me. After a lengthy process and approval by the MA Licensing Board, we are in the process of notifying all customers who have funeral trusts and insurance. Regarding sales by registered mail.
John will continue the fine work that began in 1910 with John F. O’Brien and continued for 112 years with Edward F. O’Brien, John F. O’Brien and Edward J. O’Brien. This next chapter will definitely follow the O’Brien Funeral Home in South Boston under the direction of John F. Lean. i love south boston We are proud to have served our customers over the years. Mitchell Newcombe, there are no words to express how important you were in keeping us moving forward. Your youth and maturity are wonderful. I hope you know how much you are loved.
South Boston, TonThank you for the second chance! ! ! i will never forget it. Mom, Julie, Maureen and Peter, thank you for all you do. Grace, Jack and David, without you I would be nothing. Thank you Dylan and Delilah, I love you. And to his son Jack O’Brien. When I was struggling with sleepless nights, the Irish Guilt and the time spent on it and part of myself in the process.
