Nashville (WSMV)-Two young children were found in a house that police said was “deplorable” during a welfare check.

During a check at an apartment on 830 Glastonbruy Road on Sunday, police officers contacted Nautica A. Harris (22 years old) and her two children (2 and 4 years old).

Police reported that the apartment had a strong stench, there were flies on the walls, the meat was rotten and rotten, and the water clogged the sink.

At that time, a two-year-old child wore only a shirt. I dressed my child with the diapers that my neighbor gave me to the police.

A rash was also found in the center of the 2-year-old chest, and the hair contained an unknown desiccant.

Both children were taken to Vanderbild Pediatrics for preventive testing, from which DCS protected both.

Harris was detained and held in Davidson County Jail.
