Top-ranked Stillwater rallies past Roseville in baseball – Twin Cities

Braden Helam knocked two runs with a two-out base hit in the top of the eighth inning as top-ranked Stillwater beat Roseville 6-4 in a baseball game at the Eastern Suburbs on Tuesday.

Roseville (7-8) recorded the first three runs of the game before Stillwater (11-3) roared in the mid and late innings.

Myles Schwerzler won and pitched the last two innings. He didn’t allow runs or hits.

The victory stopped the two-game losing skid for the pony.

St. Paul Academy 13, Trinity 0: St. Paul Academy exploded in 11 runs in the 4th inning, defeating Trinity (4-7).

Mile Waltembo hit the base clear triple in the 4th inning, and Levi Melin finished 1-3 with 2 RBIs and 1 RBI. Melin also threw five scoreless innings to win the SPA (8-6).

Other scores: Central defeated Highland Park 5-2. Henry Sibley defeated South St. Paul 5-4. Centennial defeated Spring Lake Park 7-1.

North St. Paul 5, Matomidi 4: The Polars scored three runs in the sixth top to defeat Matomidi.

Madison Kubic was 3-3 with doubles and 2 RBIs, and teammate Madeline Anthony was 2-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 RBIs at North St. Paul (10-4).

Anthony also won, scoring four earned runs on a complete game and defeating seven Matomidi (8-6) batters.

Henry Sibley 11, Hill Murray 4: Bella Ramos and Ella Bunny headed to the plate 2-2 each as Sibley’s attack defeated Hill Murray and ended with 10 hits.

Greta Oden was credited with Sibley’s victory and went 8-6 during the season. Hill Murray falls to 3-8.

Other scores: Hastings defeated Simley 13-3. Tartan defeated South St. Paul 9-5. Centennial defeated Spring Lake Park 11-7.

Boys golf
Matomidi, led by Noah Schmidt and Jacob Wilson’s two-over par 37 pair, outperformed Tartan by 15 shots at the Royal Golf Club on Lake Elmo. Schmidt and Wilson were united for the honor student of the medalist.

Hastings defeated Simley in just two shots in a Metro East match at Inver Grove Heights’ Inver Wood Golf Course. Hastings’ Ryan Swanson shot a one-under-35 low round.

St. Paul’s Academy defeated Blake in a single blow at the Somerset Country Club. Blake’s Ian Frederickson and Kyle Kearney finished as co-medalists with an over par 37.

Girls Golf: Hastings defeated Henry Sibley in Hastings’ emerald green. Hastings’ Erlin Endless finished in a low round with a 7 over par 43.

Girls Lacrosse: Apple Valley / Burnsville beat East View 12-8. Rosemount defeated Eagan 21-4.

Boys Lacrosse: Burnsville beat Eastview 8-7 and Prior Lake beat Farmington 16-6.
