The I-5 procession honored Raymond Mitchell and raised awareness of danger
Ridgefield, WA (KOIN) — A tow truck driver in the northwest attended a memorial service, remembering one of himself who was killed on duty.
Raymond Mitchell was beaten and killed at I-5 last month. Mitchell was fixed to a tow truck When the rear trailer of a log truck bends and hits him. The young father was only 33 years old.
Dozens of tow trucks joined the I-5 procession through Clark County, raising awareness of the dangers faced by tow truck drivers every day. They want the driver to slow down and move.
“We are all together,” tow truck driver Cory Wells told KOIN6 News. “We also want to go home. Slow down and move up.”
Mitchell’s memorial service began and ended at Irani Casino. The food cart was in the casino and all the proceeds were used to help the Mitchells.
