A South Florida man shot two people as they drove onto his property after getting lost trying to withdraw an Instacart order.

A resident said he opened fire after a car ran over his leg.

According to a report released by Davy Police, 19-year-old Waldeth Thomas Jr. and 18-year-old Diamond Harley Darville attempted to deliver groceries from an Instacart order on the night of April 15, but were unable to identify their address. I was struggling with of the person who placed the order.

The pair accidentally parked on the property of Antonio Caccavale, 43, in Southwest Ranches, a town about 20 miles northwest of Miami.

Caccavale’s 12-year-old son approached them. They told investigators that it was when Caccavale aggressively approached the car and grabbed the driver’s side window.

Thomas began chasing away a gray Honda Civic when three gunshots were heard.

Caccavale told investigators that when he saw the car on his property, he asked his son to tell the occupants to move out.

He said he heard his son calling for help and rushed to help, Caccavale said the car drove “erratically” and hit objects on the property, including rocks and fence posts.

Cuckavell said the car backed up, shook him and ran over his right leg, pulled out a Smith & Wesson Shield handgun and fired several shots into the tire. He told police he wanted his vehicle disabled.

Police said they found two bullet holes in the car’s rear bumper and a punctured rear passenger car tire. They said there was no video footage of the shooting.

Durville told NBC6 In South Florida, the duo found themselves on fire after driving off.

“I’ve seen him pull out a gun and that’s when I said, we gotta go, we gotta go,” she said. “I was scared, I’m not going to lie.”

In a report, police said it was unclear whether a crime had taken place. “Each party appears to justify their actions based on the circumstances they perceive,” police said.

In a statement, Broward County State Attorney Harold F. He said police have yet to file a report and findings.

“Once the police investigation is complete and transferred to my office, the prosecutor will thoroughly examine all facts, evidence, and applicable law presented,” Pryor said. The public prosecutor will decide whether to file criminal charges.”

The harrowing episode was reminiscent of other recent shootings of people who accidentally ended up at the wrong address.

20-year-old Kaylin Gillis was murdered After she and her friend drove into the wrong driveway in upstate New York and were set on fire by a homeowner. Kansas City Man Shot and injured 16-year-old Ralph Yarl When Jarl went to the wrong house to pick up his brother.
