Oklahoma City (Free Press) — Owners of Sheridan’s Century Center and downtown Robinson have agreed to sell to local Griffin Communications.

Griffin is the parent company of Oklahoma City TV Broadcast News 9, Tulsa News 6, outdoor advertising company Tulsa CW, and several radio stations.

The plan is to relocate all headquarters and all News9 operations to the building. The exception is the operation of weather radar and helicopters that remain in their original location at 7401 N. Kelley. The Tulsa station stays at its current location.

The Oklahoman newspaper, which currently holds the dominant square foot in the building, will be a tenant of Griffin Communications.

Other tenants in the building are also expected to stay and operate during the renovation. Mahogany Prime Steakhouse, Main Street YMCA, SSM (St. Anthony) Health, Café De L’asie.

Griffin has announced that the entire project will be priced at $ 26 million, of which $ 10 million will be refurbished to meet Griffin’s needs.
