Tonight, two vehicles headed from the Golden Week Parkway towards the Potomac River near I-395.
The incident occurred just before 8:30 pm. The first responders on the ground and on the boat rushed to the scene and at least rescued the victims. According to the Arlington County Fire Department, the two were taken to a local hospital in a stable condition.
US park police are investigating the case. So far, there is no word about how it happened.
Both vehicles (one completely submerged and the other partially submerged on the riverbank) are expected to be withdrawn from the water overnight.
