Two Omaha-area teens among those seriously injured in boat explosion – Omaha, Nebraska

Kansas City, Missouri — Two teenagers in the Omaha region of Nebraska are one of five seriously injured in a boat explosion on Lake of the Ozarks on Tuesday.

A Missouri Highway Patrol incident reported a mechanical problem on a 26-foot Sea Ray boat in 2007 at around 1:40 pm on Tuesday, causing a fire and explosion.

The explosion was reported near the 10.4 mile marker on the Osage Arm on Lake of the Ozarks.

Two teenagers were seriously injured in the incident, and three other adults were seriously injured. A 2-year-old boy was slightly injured.

The seriously injured were taken by ambulance to a university hospital in Colombia and Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
