ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Police are investigating a fatal car accident that killed two people in Elk Grove.
The scene is on Franklin High Road near Whitelock Parkway. Shortly before 5 am, a sedan collided with a tree and cut off the front of the vehicle. Firefighters also responded to the crash.
The Whitelock Parkway was closed eastward between Franklin High Road and Bella Terra Drive.
Police are investigating what caused the crash.
The name of the person who died in the crash has not been disclosed. There are unconfirmed reports that they may have been teenagers, according to people in the field.
