The Wichita fire brigade jumped one and another from the burning apartment early Tuesday morning. (KSNW)

Wichita, Kansas. – The Wichita Fire Department rescued two people from a burning apartment early Tuesday morning.

Just before 3 am, the fire brigade responded to a fire near Flood and Kellogg, and the two were trapped in the apartment.

The firefighter pulled one from the upper floors and the second jumped out of the window.

Both victims were taken to the hospital in crisis.

Meanwhile, the firefighters revived a dog that was unresponsive and saved the cat.

A second cat died in a fire.

The fire is under investigation.
